Fruits.co: Revolutionizing Domain Name Sales with Innovative Features and Simplified Solutions
Fast-growing domain sales platform, Fruits.co, is enhancing the domain selling experience with the introduction of cutting-edge features designed to boost conversion rates for domain sellers.

Fruits.co embarked on its journey without the explicit intention of becoming a domain name-centric sales platform. However, its evolution naturally steered it in that direction.
Initially launched in 2022, the business operated as a versatile marketplace catering to a broad spectrum of digital assets. The founding team, through observation and analysis, identified domain names as the most promising and lucrative market segment to focus on.
Dr. Fabian Heuschele, the founder of fruits.co (the company intentionally uses a lowercase “f” in its name), explained the strategic pivot: “With domains, the process of creating and listing products is significantly streamlined for sellers. In contrast, when collaborating with content creators, they often needed to invest substantial time and effort in developing an ebook – frequently with our active involvement – only to sell it for a relatively modest sum.”
Indeed, domain names offer a compelling advantage: they are relatively easy to acquire or create and possess the potential to command significantly higher prices compared to other digital goods.
The company also benefited from the insights and expertise of one of its investors, Stefan Wiegard, who possessed extensive knowledge of the domain name market. Wiegard was a founding member of Team Internet, a prominent domain monetization company that was subsequently acquired by CentralNic (which later rebranded itself as Team Internet).
By concentrating solely on domain names, Fruits.co has been able to meticulously identify and address the shortcomings of existing domain sales platforms, refining its service to meet the specific needs of domain investors and sellers.
Heuschele observes that many established platforms in the industry are characterized by outdated interfaces and a lack of innovation. He explains that this stagnation inspired fruits.co to develop a modern, efficient system that prioritizes speed, user experience, and affordability, featuring a competitive commission rate of 9.9%.
Fruits.co also sought to tackle a significant challenge in the European domain market: Value Added Tax (VAT). The complexities associated with VAT can create difficulties for both domain sellers and buyers.
Heuschele elaborated: “Imagine a scenario where you are based in Germany and sell a domain name to an individual residing in Spain. In such cases, you are obligated to apply Spanish VAT and remit it to the Spanish tax authorities. Fruits.co automates this entire process accurately and efficiently, eliminating the need for manual intervention and ensuring full compliance.”
Fruits.co’s emphasis on simplicity, speed, and advanced features has contributed to its impressive growth, attracting a portfolio of 2.6 million domains, a substantial increase from approximately one million domains just a year ago.
However, a question that often arises among domain investors is whether they would be willing to utilize a platform operating under the domain name fruits.co.
Heuschele addressed this concern, explaining that the company selected the domain name based on the concept of “the fruits of your labor,” symbolizing the rewards and benefits derived from domain investing. While acknowledging that some individuals have questioned the use of a .co domain extension, he now views it as another distinguishing characteristic of the company. (Notably, the multinational food company Del Monte owns the domain fruits.com).
From a buyer’s perspective, Fruits.co acknowledges that it currently has limited brand recognition. However, Heuschele points out that only a few competitors, primarily GoDaddy and Sedo, have achieved significant name recognition among domain buyers.
To cultivate buyer trust and confidence, Fruits.co has implemented various credibility-building measures, such as prominently displaying Trustpilot reviews on its landing pages. Furthermore, as a German-based company, it provides a direct link to its legal imprint on every page, fostering transparency and accountability.
This week, Fruits.co unveiled several new enhancements, including redesigned and simplified landers that are anticipated to improve conversion rates. (See the image above for an example.) Additionally, the platform now resolves each domain name to its individual domain address rather than redirecting to a generic page on fruits.co, enhancing user experience and perceived value.
Looking ahead, Fruits.co is actively pursuing partnerships with other platforms and domain name registrars to facilitate the syndication of domain listings, expanding its reach and visibility.
The domain sales platform market has experienced significant growth and increased competition in recent years. Fruits.co believes its unique blend of innovation, user-centric features, and competitive pricing positions it favorably to thrive in this dynamic landscape.
