GoDaddy Domain Auctions End Tuesday and Wednesday This Week

Bidding activity is picking up in GoDaddy’s latest domain auction.

GoDaddy’s current domain auction event concludes this week, with many lots closing on June 9 and 10. The auction includes a wide selection of premium domains spanning generic, industry-specific, and brandable names.

In the previous GoDaddy auction, thousands of bids came in from buyers across dozens of countries. That event featured some notable sales, including MortgageCalculators.com, which closed for $367,000, along with other six-figure and mid-five-figure transactions. Those results helped set expectations for strong interest in this quarter’s offering.

This cycle features more than 2,600 domain names. As of 1:00 p.m. PDT today, 121 domains have active bids. Among the listings attracting attention this week are unemployment.com, bracelet.com, and medicalschool.com — all names with clear commercial appeal and strong keyword value.

At present, Kissed.com holds the highest bid at $20,250, while Yipi.com has drawn the most activity with 45 bids. The catalog also includes 34 domains aged 30 years or older, though only one of those vintage names has received a bid so far.

A benefit of this auction format is that every domain begins at its reserve price. That means bidders can be confident they are competing only on names that the seller is willing to accept, removing wasted effort on items that will not be sold.

Most bidders tend to wait until the final minutes to place their offers, so significant movement is likely as the event nears its close. Expect increased activity and last-minute bidding over the next 48 hours as interested buyers make their final pushes.

If you’re watching specific names, now is a good time to confirm your interest and prepare to participate in the closing minutes — that’s when many auctions are decided.
