Joins Namecheap as VP, Head of Domains — Anand Vora

Vora moves to registrar side of the domain name industry.

A long-time fixture in the domain name industry has taken a role with Namecheap.

Anand Vora got his start in the domain name business as a summer intern at Public Interest Registry. He then joined the nonprofit that oversees .org full-time.

Following regarding five years, he joined Identity Digital (then Donuts) when it started bringing its fresh top level domains to market.

He then returned to Public Interest Registry, where he oversaw channel partnerships and other sales and marketing-related functions.

A year ago, he started a role at D3, and this stretch disclosed that he is now the VP, Head of Domains at Namecheap.

This will be the first time Anand is on the registrar side of the business following many years on the registry side.

I think this is a great hire for Namecheap, which was purchased by private equity firm CVC Capital last year. Namecheap’s leaders have been with the firm for a long time, and bringing in someone with a fresh set of eyes will be helpful.
