On Saturday I wrote regarding National Car Rental registering domain names related to naming rights for a sports stadium.

I predicted that it was for St. Louis. St. Louis is working on a plan for a stadium to try to keep the National Football League Rams in town, and National Car Rental is based in St. Louis.

Turns out I was right. The firm is pledging $158 million for National Car Rental Field, a proposed stadium on the Mississippi riverfront in St. Louis.
