CentralNic hits 4 million fresh top level domain names

XYZ and Radix propel CentralNic’s registry growth.

CentralNic now has over 4 million domain names on its fresh top level domain registry services platform, the firm disclosed today.

It provides registry services to .xyz, which accounts for regarding three-quarters of the total. Its other major client (volume-wise) is Radix. Radix runs a handful of top level domains that are on the fresh TLD leaderboards, counting .site, .online, .website and .space.

As stated by nTLDStats, CentralNic is the largest backend registry services provider in terms of domain names. ZDNS, which has .top and .wange, is nipping at its heels. (Of course, ZDNS could just “move a couple levers” to be in first place, if it wants to be.)

Backend registry services are one CentralNic’s (AIM: CNIC) three major businesses. Listen to CEO Ben Crawford discuss the business on DNW Podcast #79.
