Firm turns to courts to save stolen EZQ.com domain name

Even following winning UDRP, firm has to turn to courts to save stolen domain name.

Last month I wrote regarding how EZQUEST, INC had won back control of its domain name EZQ.com through a UDRP decision. The firm stated the domain name had been stolen from its Go Daddy account.

A Reglike reader sent me a link to an article showing that the battle is far from over.

Apparently the alleged thief of the EZQ.com domain name filed some sort of lawsuit in China over the domain name (or at least stated it did), which had the effect of staying the UDRP decision. Then the thief listed the domain name for sale again to try to cash in on the domain.

EZQUEST has filed a federal lawsuit (pdf) in Utah to prevent the domain from being sold.

[Update: EZQuest now controls the domain name.]
