Another event due to Covid-19 — ICANN cancels

Saudi Arabia event postponed over virus fears.

ICANN has canceled a second event scheduled for March due to travel restrictions and fears over Covid-19, a coronavirus.
The Middle East DNS Forum, scheduled for March 24-25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is postponed. ICANN will set a fresh date in coordination with the event host, the Communications and Information Technology Commission.
The notice comes one week following ICANN canceled its planned March meeting in Cancun, Mexico. That event will now be held remotely.
Some other sizable conferences, especially ones that attract people from around the world, have canceled their winter/spring events following major corporations backed out. For example, this year’s Mobile World Congress, which attracts over 100,000 in Barcelona, was canceled.
