Applies for .trump top level domain name — Donald Trump

President wants his own top level domain name.

U.S. President Donald Trump has applied for his own top level domain name: .trump.

ICANN, the organization that oversees the domain name system, opened the door to applications for fresh top level domains this year for the first time since 2012. Trump’s application was among 1,616 submitted during the application window.

ICANN revealed the applications today.

DTTM TLD, LLC, Trump’s intellectual property holding firm, filed the application.

The application is for a so-called “dot brand” top level domain, meaning Trump’s organization intends to control the entire namespace rather than sell .trump domains to the public.

That could give Trump’s businesses the ability to create addresses such as hotel.trump, golf.trump or other .trump domains for its own use. Firms that operate dot-brand domains generally use them for marketing, corporate websites, or other internal purposes.

Sorry, MAGA fans, that means you won’t be able to register yourname.trump.

You’ll have to stick to buying Trump coins to show your financial support.
