Donuts bulks up with financial and executive talent.

DonutsFresh top level domain name firm Donuts has appointed its first outside director and added to its executive team. The appointments point to a firm looking for people experienced raising money and taking firms public.

Bruce A. Jaffe has been elected to the firms Board of Directors. Jaffe was a long time Microsoft employee, counting a stint as CFO of its MSN division. He was also CFO of media firm Glam Media.

Donuts also named David Rostov as its fresh CFO. Rostov was most recently CFO at Avalara, a tax compliance technology firm. He has also held the CFO positions at InfoSpace and Drugstore.com.

Finally, Timothy Favia is the firm’s fresh Vice President, Corporate Development. He was CEO of ad network mSnap.

Donuts is situated to acquire other fresh top level domain name firms over the next year or two en route to a potential IPO. These appointments are clearly designed to bolster the firm’s experience raising late stage funds and building value.
