DotGreen Community is back!

Group that promoted .green domain name for years is back at the table, and Kathy Nielson has joined the team.
Remember DotGreen Community, the firm that wanted to run the .green top level domain name but gave up in the face of competition?
The firm never really went away, but it famously gave up its bid to run .green following determining it wouldn’t be able to win an auction with three other applicants. It was very early to the table and spent lavishly to market .green ahead of the application period even opened.
Well, it’s baaaack.
Afilias, which won the auction for .Green, has partnered with DotGreen Community. It seems that Afilias will be the backend provider and leave the business side of .green to DotGreen Community.
DotGreen Community also disclosed that Kathy Nielson has left Sedo to join the firm, where she will be Executive Director of Registry Operations and Channel Relations. Nielson had been with Sedo since 2009.
