Domain marketplace, changes fees — Dynadot expands

Clients can now list domains that are registered at other registrars.

Dynadot is making changes to its domain name aftermarket.

Until now, clients could only list domains registered at Dynadot on the marketplace. Starting October 18, people will be able to list domains that are registered at other registrars.

The firm is also changing its fees. It is removing a 5% payout fee assessed when people withdraw funds. Still, it is increasing its commission from 5% to 10%.

Clients could previously avoid the payout fee by using the funds for Dynadot purchases. Now, clients will earn a 2% bonus if they convert their domain sales revenue into store credit for purchases at Dynadot.

So, net-net, if you previously used your sales revenue to purchase items at Dynadot, you’ll be a bit worse off. If you cashed out, you ought to come out roughly the same.
