Day of NamesCon kicks off shortly — First full

Around 600 attendees for inaugural NamesCon conference.

The first full day of the NamesCon conference in Las Vegas kicks off at 9:55 local time this morning.

Following a short orientation, Jennifer Wolfe will deliver a keynote. Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman will follow with brief remarks regarding the city and doing business in Las Vegas.

Following that, there will be 3 simultaneous breakout sessions going on throughout the day starting at 11:15. There are 30 content sessions counting 100 speakers spread across the two full days of the conference.

As of early yesterday evening there were 581 registered attendees, and of course many more were registering at the door. A good number have never been to a domain conference ahead of, and an even greater number are typically at ICANN conferences rather than domainer conferences (NamesCon will end up being somewhat of a hybrid, but focus squarely on the business of domains rather than the policy of domains).

Stay tuned to Reglike and @Reglike for updates throughout the day.
