Register for Beta: Free domain name

Sign up for the Microsoft Office Live beta to get a free domain name.

Microsoft Office Live, a suite of modest business tools that will help firms get on the web, is accepting registrations for its beta program. The Microsoft Office Live service includes a free domain name, free webhosting, free web site, and more.

Microsoft caught the ears of domainers with its original notice of the service. But domain investors looking to snap up free domains need not apply. The service is meant for modest businesses that want to create a presence on the web, not domain investors looking to park and sell domains. Microsoft will surely have safeguards in place to prevent people from registering for multiple accounts once the service goes live.

U.S. residents are invited to participate in the beta by registering here.
