GoDaddy purchases invoicing firm Ronin
Domain name registrar has made five acquisitions in fifteen months.
GoDaddy disclosed another buyout today, although the buyout isn’t actually fresh.
In April the firm quietly purchased invoicing firm Ronin and has integrated the technology into its GoDaddy Online Bookkeeping product. The online bookkeeping product comes from GoDaddy’s earlier buyout of Outright.
The buyout furthers GoDaddy’s plan of being a one-stop-shop for modest and medium size businesses, and puts it in strong competition with Intuit.
Outright was GoDaddy’s first buyout, but the firm has become more acquisitive lately. It has purchased five firms in the past fifteen months, counting Outright, Ronin, M.dot, Locu and Afternic.
GoDaddy used to build everything in house. Now it seems happy to acquire technologies that fit into its roadmap.
