Now automatically verified with Afternic — GoDaddy domains

Domain owners have one fewer step to take if their domains are registered at GoDaddy.

Afternic just launched a much-requested feature that makes ownership verification much easier.

If your domains are registered in a linked GoDaddy account, you will no longer need to add a TXT or DNS record to verify your domain. It will happen automatically.

Previously, even when accounts were linked, users still had to complete the verification process.

There was a workaround: if you listed your domains on Afternic from within your GoDaddy account, they would be verified automatically. But that had limitations, counting limited control over pricing and landing page options.

In addition to automatic verification, linked accounts can change nameservers from within Afternic instead of GoDaddy.

To link a GoDaddy account, go to Afternic and look for Settings > Account.
