A UDRP panelist has found MyHikes, LLC, which uses the domain name MyHikes.ORG, guilty of trying to reverse hijack the domain name MyHikes.COM.

MyHikes, LLC operates an app and website for trail hikers. It registered trademarks in 2025, citing first use in 2015.

But the registrant of MyHikes.com registered the domain in 2005 and has used it periodically since then. That made this case dead on arrival since it’s impossible that the domain was registered to target a non-existent business.

Panelist Luz Helena Villamil-Jimenez found in favor of the registrant on the issues of Rights or Legitimate Interests and Registration in Bad Faith.

The panelist noted that the Complainant sent overtures to the Respondent offering to buy the domain, and filed the UDRP following that effort failed.

The Lynch Law Group, LLC, represented MyHikes, LLC, and the domain owner was self-represented.
