Parties Summit going to Manchester in April — ICANN Contracted

Domain registrars and registries will meet in England this April.

ICANN’s annual Contracted Parties Summit (CPS) will take place in Manchester, England, from April 27-29.

Despite the somewhat off-putting name, CPS is one of ICANN’s more interesting events.

The primary audience is domain name registrars and registries (i.e., the contracted parties). It’s a business-focused conference, and it ought to be especially interesting this year, given that fresh top level domain applications open on April 30. Domain investors often attend the event as well, depending on the location.

Draft agenda topics include discussions regarding fresh TLDs, working with the domain registrar channel, bridging web2/3 namespaces, and DNS abuse.

Admission is free, but advanced registration is required.
