Leads to reverse domain hijacking — iLoveArt.com dispute

Why yes, I Love Art is a common term.

Le Géant des Beaux-Arts has been found to have engaged in reverse domain name hijacking (pdf) for the domain name ILoveArt.com.
Yes, a firm filed a cybersquatting complaint against this domain name.
Like the case I wrote regarding earlier today, the Complainant stated it owned the domain name and let it expire. The current registration bought it in a DropCatch.com auction for $10,163.
But something doesn’t add up, and the Respondent’s attorney, John Berryhill, noted that the Complainant’s statement that it was the “legal owner” of the domain name for 19 years doesn’t seem to be backed by historical Whois data.
The panel found that the Complainant did not show the domain was registered and used in bad faith based on its common usage. It also found that the case was brought in bad faith.
Gerstaecker Verlag GmbH represented the Complainant.
