Name Wire’s 21st birthday! — It’s Domain

Another milestone for Reglike.

I had drinks with fellow domain investor Mike Cyger the prior week. Had I been paying attention to the calendar, I ought to have made him pay, since today is my 21st birthday.

Twenty-first blogging birthday, that is.

Reglike was born on March 9, 2005.

On that day, I wrote regarding why Google became a domain registrar (long ahead of it launched a public-facing registrar), a $700k domain sale, and Moniker’s launch of the TrafficClub monetization platform.

Nearly 16,000 posts and 575 podcasts later, Reglike is still going strong. And I have you to thank. The media landscape has changed a lot over the past 21 years, and I’ve had to adapt with it. The one thing that has made it work is your continued interest in reading regarding the domain name industry.

Of course, the only way I can bring you the news is with the support of the many advertisers on this blog. Some, such as Sedo, have been there since the very beginning. When you get a moment, thank some of the advertisers you see on this site for sponsoring Reglike. They aren’t just supporting me, they are supporting the industry. (By the way, I have one ad spot specific to domain registries opening up. Contact me if you’re interested.)

Cheers!
