MicroAcquire purchases Acquire.com, plans to rebrand

“You ought to drop the micro.”

MicroAcquire has purchased the domain name acquire.com and plans to rebrand.
The firm’s founder, Andrew Gazdecki, discussed the idea of rebranding on Twitter the prior week.

MicroAcquire is a platform for buying and selling a business. It started as a site to buy and sell very modest businesses but has expanded since then. Hence, “micro” pigeonholed the firm.
Today, Gazdecki disclosed that the firm bought acquire.com:

It appears the buyout occurred following Gazdecki disclosed the potential name change. A public Whois record on October 27 shows MySite Corporation in Seoul as the registrant.
I interviewed Gazdecki on Reglike Podcast #387.
