Released 3.5 million previously reserved domain names — Uniregistry just

Most are available at standard registration prices, counting regarding 1.5 million .click domains.

At 1 PM EDT today, domain name registry Uniregistry released 3.5 million previously reserved domain names to its registrar channel, meaning anyone can register them at its accredited registrars.

The 3.5 million names include domains the registry had withheld, many of which it hoped to sell directly to consumers.

Over three million of the names are in .click and link. The registry appears to have originally reserved over a million numeric domains in .link and .click (each!) such as 942970.link
and 000046.click. I imagine the hope was to cash in on the Chinese domain investment craze. As many people have found out, there’s simply too much supply of these sorts of names in fresh extensions for all but the best to be worth anything.

1.2 million of the domain names will have premiums and the rest are priced at standard prices.

Uniregistry set up a page where you can search for the newly released domains or download a list of released domains by top level domain.
