Lawley defend .Porn and .Adult — Watch Stuart

The man behind .porn, .adult and .xxx is asked to defend his business model.

ICM Registry CEO Stuart Lawley was on Bloomberg yesterday. Bloomberg’s Emily Chang asked him to defend the business model of selling .porn and .adult domain names. Doesn’t this force celebrities and brands to pay up to protect themselves?

Lawley talked regarding how fresh top level domain names in general provide more choice for businesses. He also noted that brands also have to protect themselves in bricks-and-mortar businesses. He gives the example of a fresh burger restaurant opening up called McDonald’s the the real McDonald’s having to take action to protect its mark.
