Names Microsoft and others bought — What domain
Microsoft headlines the prior week’s Sedo end user sales list.
Microsoft is the biggest name on the prior week’s Sedo end user sales list, but a flower delivery firm bought the most expensive (disclosed) domain name. There’s also a .berlin domain name on the list.
Below are end user sales I found on the list Sedo sent the prior week; see previous end user sales here.
Bouq.com $40,000 – Flower site The Bouqs. Bouq is short for Bouquet. They have a video that explains what makes them unique. It seems modeled following the Dollar Shave Club video that went viral…just that this one isn’t that funny.
Xovi.com – SEO firm Xovi GMBH, which owns the matching .de domain name.
orizen.com $4,000 – a Mark Monitor client. Perhaps Verizon?
ProgressFood.com $2,095 – Russian baby food firm Progress Food, which owns ProgressFood.ru.
SurfaceBoard.com $1,999 – Microsoft, no doubt for its Surface tablet.
Empire.in $3,000 – Altigi GmbH (aka Goodgame Studios), maker of the Empire game. They’ve bought domains on the aftermarket previously.
TeachingCivics.com $2,595 – Learning Law and Democracy Foundation, owner of TeachingCivics.org.
GreenfieldLaw.com $1,299 – San Jose, California law firm Greenfield Draa & Harrington LLP
Intrabank.com $3,890 – Online payments firm Trustly.
Gero.com $10,001 – Gero One Corp, maker of wearable technologies. It has been using GetGero.com for its web address.
DollarCarSale.com $1,595 – This domain has whois privacy, but I believe it’s Dollar rental car firm.
Nutrinsic.net and Nutrinsic.com $2,500 each – Nutrinsic, a firm that “upcycles” nutrients from food and beverage processor byproducts.
Jobboerse.berlin 8,000 EUR – ICJobs, owner of jobbörse.com. Both lobboerse and jobbörse mean something along the lines of “career portal” / job market.
