.Sucks? Microsoft registers Microsoft Edge Sucks domains in .com. — Who needs

Firm registers multiple derogatory domain names related to its fresh browser.

Microsoft Edge BrowserThere’s been a lot of chatter lately regarding the .Sucks domain name and how brands feel like they’re being coerced into paying big bucks to protect themselves. At the same time, a lot of these firms aren’t paying $10 to register BrandSucks.com.

An exception is Microsoft, which is getting out ahead of feedback on its fresh Microsoft Edge browser by snapping up derogatory domain names. Among the firm’s domain name registrations yesterday:

MicrosoftEdgeSucks.com
MSEdgeSucks.com
MSFTEdgeSucks.com
WhyEdgeSucks.com

The firm also registered dozens of domain names counting the fresh Microsoft Edge brand in multiple top level domain names. Many of these registrations are typos, such as microsoftede.com and microsoftegde.com.
