Your.Online purchases Blacknight

Irish domain registrar and hosting firm joins Your.Online.

Web infrastructure rollup Your.Online has purchased Irish domain name registrar and hosting firm Blacknight.

Your.Online’s stable of firms includes Gandi.net, Pair Networks, Heart Internet, Realtime Register, UK2 Group, and many others. It was created when Total Web Solutions merged with Gandi.

For those concerned that you’ll never see Blacknight co-founder Michele Neylon’s happy, positive, never-cynical personality at future domain events, never fear: Your.Online’s model is to keep its businesses operating independently.

Neylon and co-founder Paul Kelly will remain in their leadership roles with the firm.

Blacknight was founded in 2003 in Carlow, operating as a home-based hosting business. Today, it’s Ireland’s leading domain registrar, serving over 90,000 domain and hosting clients in Ireland and internationally.
