Leveling the playing field for smaller domain investors — AI is

You no longer need a dev team to access and analyze data.

Individual domain investors have been at a disadvantage to the big guys for a long time. While they’re still at some disadvantage, the gap has narrowed.
Two things have traditionally given the big guys a leg up: data and tech.
On the data side, they’ve been able to scrape vast amounts of data and use their own data from their sizable portfolios to find opportunities.
On the tech side, they’ve had the dev capabilities to capture data and mine it to find opportunities.
Artificial Intelligence is making it easier for smaller players to do what the bigger ones have been doing all along.
What used to take a dev team can now be done by an individual with a Claude or Lovable account.
I’m not talking regarding throwing a list into a sizable language model and asking it to tell you which domains are best. That’s child’s play (and the results are usually bad, anyway).
Now, it’s fairly simple for people who don’t know the first thing regarding APIs to start ingesting data from them.
For example, point a coding assistant to NameBio’s API page and tell it what you want to get. It will develop a plan and walk you through it.
Or upload a massive spreadsheet of data to Claude CoWork and ask it to analyze it across multiple factors or your own scoring system to find the best domains.
You can create your own tools to ingest and analyze data and trends without writing a single line of code yourself.
The big guys still have the upper hand, mostly since they have years of data from their own portfolios. But it’s much easier now to get a leg up, and if you aren’t using these tools, you’re getting left behind.
