Registrations suggest B2B or manufacturing supply push [Updated] — Amazon domain

Domains related to lab supplies and “modest parts” suggest manufacturing or B2B play.

I buy just regarding all electronics for my business on Amazon: monitors, laptops, even occasional specialty equipment costing thousands of dollars. Seriously, you can buy just regarding anything on the site.

Now it appears Amazon may be gearing up for a serious B2B or manufacturing play. Check out these domain registrations from March 28:

amazon-supplies.com
amazon-supply.com
amazonequipmentsupplies.com
amazonequipmentsupply.com
amazonindustrialsupplies.com
amazonlabsupplies.com
amazonlabsupply.com
amazonscientificsupplies.com
amazonscientificsupply.com
amazonsupplies.net
amazonsupply-smallparts.com

[Update 3/31: Amazon also registered a bunch of “amazonb2b” domains, such as amazonb2b.fr, amazonb2b.biz, etc. It registered AmazonB2B.com many years ago.]

Some of these domains, such as the modest parts and supply parts ones, are very specific. Amazon makes defensive domain name registrations all the time, but I’m thinking this has more to do with a specific effort.
