Namespace flat over past year, but gets a Covid bump — Australia’s .Au

Registrations picked up in Q2 but namespace remains flat for the financial year ending in June.

.Au Domain Administration Limited (auDA) published its annual note today for the 2019-2020 financial year that ended in June.
The note shows that .au domains under management are essentially flat over the past year, falling from 3.193 million domains to 3.180 million.
.Au domain names are right now registered only at the third level. The .com.au domain base is up slightly from a year ago, but .net.au fell from 242,000 to 223,000.
But registrations picked up in Q2 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as this chart shows:

auDA showed a spike in revenue for the financial year, but the number is obfuscated by a change in revenue recognition policies.
The full annual note is available online (pdf).
