Name.art is a risk-free way to profit from premium .art domain sales.

On this stretch’s podcast, dotART chief marketing officer Jeff Sass talked regarding the .art registry’s Name.art program.

I’ve heard Jeff talk regarding this program ahead of, but our discussion prompted me to set up a free account to try it out.

Name.art lets you profit by successfully finding premium .art domains that will sell within the next six months.

You search for available .art premium domains and “mint” them with coins. Fresh accounts get 1,000 coins.

Minting prices depend on the domain’s retail cost. The most expensive domains require 100 coins, but pay $1,000 if the domain sells. Less expensive domains can be minted for as few as five coins.

Name.art participants can promote domains they have selected, but they don’t have to. Regardless of which registrar sells the domain and the circumstances, the person who minted that domain receives a commission.

While adding domains, I found that great minds think alike – in many cases, someone else had by now selected the domains I searched for.

Another cool thing is you can see live recent .art domain registrations in the “latest sales” section of the site.

I’m aware of people who have participated in Name.art who have received commissions.

The program is invite-only, but GoDaddy Domain Academy members can get access.
