Firm buys two domains from Frank Schilling for $80,000

SearchCore discloses purchases in SEC filing.

Firms buy domains from Frank Schilling’s Name Administration all the time, but here’s an example that’s in an SEC filing. It also shows that Schilling is willing to sell domains on a payment plan.

The buyer is SearchCore, which I wrote regarding earlier this year.

The firm has some high profile sales, counting Makeup.com for $2 million, and some high profile purchases, such as Rodeo.com and Karate.com.

It has also paid top dollar for domains recently, counting manufacturedhome.com and manufacturedhouse.com for $50,000 and manufacturedhomes.com for $130,000.

OK, so on to the domains it bought from Frank Schilling.

Last month the firm entered into purchase agreements for TravelTrailer.com at $50,000 and ToyHaulers.com at $30,000.

But that’s not all up front.

The SEC filing discloses that it paid $15,000 up front for TravelTrailer.com and then it will pay $5,000 per month for seven months.

It paid $15,000 up front for ToyHaulers.com and then $2,500 per month for six months.

Interestingly, Name Administration had added both of these domains to Afternic with buy now prices. TravelTrailer.com was listed at $55,000 and ToyHaulers.com for $19,000. Given the price of the latter, it looks like SearchCore paid a lot of money to finance the $4,000 gap over six months.
