A second time and sells for 5x as much — Domain expires
A domain expired for the second time in three years and sold for a lot more this time.
Newfold Digital has released a list of domains sold for $2,000+ on NameJet and SnapNames in March.
For the month, the two platforms combined to sell 89 domains at this threshold with a total value of $559,000.
The biggest sale has an interesting history. Here are some domains that stand out:
Bet55 .com $145,000 – This domain was previously used as a gambling site. What’s particularly interesting is that this domain was previously dropped in 2022. A bidder paid $33,000 for the domain at DropCatch that year. Why did they drop it three years later? And why did it sell for nearly five times as much?
FutureTech .com $19,250 – This domain has a usage history, but I think it has a lot of value on its own.
Insurrection .com $10,081 – A timely political domain that could also be used in gaming.
InTheMoney .com $8,595 – A wonderful domain for options trading.
EasyChef .com $5,838 – A great brand. The .ai is in use.
Elert .com $5,250 – Clever name for an alerts product. The plural is used by an established business.
OfficeSuites .com $3,000 – Coworking spaces are still a thing, and this is a great descriptive name for this industry.
