Grabs $2.9 Million Investment, Releases Improved Domain Builder — Domain Holdings
Domain name firm lands outside investment and releases upgraded domain development platform.
Domain name development firm Domain Holdings has raised $2.9 million in funding.
The firm was founded by domainer Chad Folkening, who was later joined by Advertising.com co-founder John Ferber.
The firm also released a complete rewrite of its Rapid Domain Builder, now called DomainPower. It helps domain name owners create SEO friendly web sites.
The $2.9 million will be used to further enhance the DomainPower platform.
DomainPower competes with a number of tools created to help domainers develop and monetize their domains, counting Epik and WhyPark. These types of tools have had to adapt over the years to avoid falling into the trap of “mass development”, which eventually gets penalized by search engines.
