Sues Rob Monster and old Epik over $1 million+ missing funds — Domain investor

Investor still hasn’t been paid back.

A domain name investor has sued Rob Monster, the old Epik entity, and Masterbucks LLC, alleging the parties owe him over $1 million.
Luigi Marruso filed the lawsuit (pdf) in U.S. District Court in the Western District of Washington the prior week.
He alleges that the parties ran an escrow service that failed to keep clients’ funds separated, and he is owed money from multiple accounts totaling over $1 million.
The lawsuit makes claims for fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, RICO violations, and other claims.
It includes emails sent from Epik’s former CEO, Brian Royce, to the investor, notifying him that the funds were being converted into store credit.
Many of Epik’s assets, counting its domain registrar, were sold to a fresh entity last year.
