Domain Name Firm Scores $3 Million Investment
Carnegie Fund invests $3 million in domain industry firm.
Winged Media, the firm behind the Protrada domain name service, has received a $3 million investment from Carnegie Innovation Fund.
The Carnegie Fund is supported by the Australian Government through the Innovation Investment Fund (IIF) program.
Protrada is Winged Media’s latest product. I reviewed the product the prior week. It makes analyzing and buying domain names offered at major auction houses easy and automated.
In addition to offering the service to existing domainers, the firm is promoting domain names as an investment class to people unfamiliar with the business.
Winged Media is also the creator of Parklings, a domain development/monetization solution.
