Wire on Go Daddy Radio Show — Domain Name

I’ll have an open talk with Go Daddy CEO Bob Parsons next week.
I’ve written a lot of good things regarding domain registrar GoDaddy over the past few years. But I’ve also called the firm out numerous times when it did no-so-good things: such as Standard Tactics.
Yesterday Go Daddy CEO Bob Parsons called me to talk regarding Standard Tactics and invite me to be his guest on next week’s Radio GoDaddy show. I accepted the offer.
On Today’s Radio Go Daddy show, Parsons pumped up the appearance saying it will be a good show with “a lot of controversy”. “I thought it would be fun to have one of our critics on the phone again,” Parsons stated on the show. “He can say anything he wants. It will be a spirited discussion.”
Our phone conversation yesterday was brief, but Parsons did tell me that GoDaddy is making a change to TDNAM auctions based on the idea that setting higher starting prices for high traffic domains is like GoDaddy bidding against its clients. Parsons stated he hadn’t thought of the higher starting prices that way, and you ought to see a change to how the system works very soon.
Next week’s show will be broadcast live at 4 PM Wednesday at RadioGoDaddy.com.
