Domainers head to Fresh Orleans for third domain conference of the year.

I’ve barely unpacked my bags from DOMAINfest, but now it’s time to turn my attention to next week’s Domainer Mardi Gras in Fresh Orleans. For a preview of the event, counting how you can get a discounted pass, listen to this episode of Reglike Radio.

I will be involved with two panels at the event on Friday, February 12.

At 1:30, Ron Jackson and I will take part in a reporter roundtable, discussing the state of the industry. Then, at 3:45, I will lead an interesting panel discussion on fresh top level domain names. Panelists will include a cross section of the domain industry and views on fresh TLDs, counting Mike Rodenbaugh (attorney) Michael Berkens (The Domains), Jeffrey Eckhaus (Demand Media), and Ken Hansen (Neustar). I promise you there will be some disagreement amongst the panelists.

Executive Director Michael Ward is doing an excellent job organizing the event and sessions. Thanks to his legwork, you can expect well organized and prepared sessions.
