Domains with PornWords promotional credit — “Free” .xxx

.xxx registry giving advertising credit to each registrant.

ICM Registry disclosed this morning that it is offering a $75 advertising credit to existing .xxx domain owners and anyone who registers a domain by January 31. The advertising credit can be used toward ads on the firm’s search.xxx site.

I’ll call the search.xxx advertising program PornWords, since it’s basically like Google Adwords for adult entertainment sites. (Granted, they won’t call it that since I’m sure it would upset Google.)

Some domain registrars, such as 101domain.com, offer .xxx domains for around $75, so this offer makes the domain basically free. Or the other way around.

Search.xxx has become a key business driver for ICM Registry. Not only is it delivering value to .xxx site owners, but it also gives the firm valuable data — and now a fresh marketing program.
