It appears that GoDaddy is the subject of a recent virus SPAM campaign made out to look like renewal emails, as stated by the this notice on GoDaddy’s web site. Big firms typically become the subject of such attacks (e.g. eBay, Amazon). But I have to wonder if some of this is in retaliation to recent GoDaddy moves, such as auctioning off its expiring domains.
Regardless, be careful.
