Domain Registration Tipped Off GrouponGoods.com

Groupon Goods launch foreshadowed by domain registration.

In August I wrote regarding Groupon’s registration of GrouponGoods.com. At the time I asked if it was for a merchandise site or charity.

Today I got my first Groupon Goods email. As stated by the firm:

Groupon Goods features really good deals on great products. To get airspace on Groupon Goods, a product has to be cool enough to share and innovative enough to inspire. It also must be made of reliably bonded molecules and stardust.

Honestly, if we think a product is remarkable and we can offer a good deal on it, we’ll do so.

Groupon Goods will compete with flash sale sites such as Woot and potentially Amazon’s MyHabit.
