ICANN has announced that its 2027 Annual General Meeting, ICANN90, will be held in Adelaide, South Australia. The meeting is scheduled for October 30–November 4, 2027, and will take place at the Adelaide Convention Centre. This announcement gives community members, industry stakeholders, and regional partners ample time to plan travel, participation, and related events around the meeting.
Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia, is home to roughly 1.5 million people and serves as a major cultural and economic center for the state. The city’s location on the southern coast of Australia makes it accessible from other Australian capitals; for example, it is approximately a two-hour flight from Sydney. The selection of Adelaide reflects ICANN’s ongoing effort to rotate its Annual General Meetings among different regions to encourage broader global participation and local engagement.
This will be the third time ICANN has hosted a meeting in Australia. Previously, ICANN held a meeting in Melbourne for ICANN08 in 2001 and convened ICANN35 in Sydney in 2009.
