Name part of £4.0 million spending spree — IG.com domain

Firm bought IG.com and multiple ccTLDs.

In May Reglike noted that financial firm and fresh top level domain name applicant IG Group had purchased the domain name IG.com.

The purchase price was recently revealed (pdf) in the firm’s annual note: £4.0 million.

The note states that figure includes a number of domain names, counting IG.co.uk and IG.de.

DNJournal is reporting that the IG.com deal was co-brokered by Marcus Kocak and Tessa Holcomb of Igloo.com. It also notes that the sale was $4.7 million, which would be regarding £3.0 million, leaving £1.0 million for the other domains.
