Name sells for $160,000 — Intranet.com domain

Dave Evanson brokers sale of Intranet.com to unknown buyer.

Sedo has brokered the sale of domain name Intranet.com for $160,000.

Sedo broker Dave Evanson disclosed the news on Twitter this morning:

The domain was registered way back in 1992. For a long time it was owned by IntraNet Worldwide, Inc, which has been part of payments firm ACI Worldwide since 1998. More recently, the whois record has been protected by a whois privacy service and the domain has resolved to a parked page.

Earlier this month the whois record briefly changed to a Massachusetts man who is likely the seller. Whois privacy has been reinstated on the domain name post sale.

It may also be worth noting that Intranet.info sold for $3,647 in July.
