Goes on the defensive in #KaiserDontDeny mental health battle — Kaiser Permanente
Domain name registrations include key employees/board members and “dontdeny”.
Health care provider Kaiser Permanente has apparently gone on a defensive domain name registration binge in light of a campaign against its mental health practices.
National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW) launched a social media campaign last month bringing attention to patients having to wait a long time for follow-up mental health care appointments. It features Kaiser Permanente mental health clinicians and their messages regarding how they believe the firm is violating state and federal law. The campaign uses the hashtag #KaiserDontDeny.
Yesterday, a firm registered domain names featuring Kaiser Permanent personnel and “dontdeny”. While the domains are registered with Whois privacy protection, Kaiser uses the brand protection registrar Mark Monitor where the names are registered. NUHW uses other domain name registrars.
