L.A. County Health Department Sends Fresh Alert to DOMAINfest Attendees
Those with multiple symptoms asked to undergo testing.
The Los Angeles County Public Health Department has sent a fresh alert (pdf) to attendees of this month’s DOMAINfest conference giving explicit instructions for medical testing.
In an email to DOMAINfest attendees, the health department asked people who have multiple symptoms to ask their healthcare professionals for a battery of tests. The L.A. health department will perform these tests for free for locals.
The symptoms are: fever/chills, cough, shortness of breath, headache, and muscle pain.
The prior week the department sent a survey to attendees with a goal of narrowing in on the source of the outbreak. The most recent email only refers to the Playboy Mansion party, not other events at the conference.
The L.A. Times notes that 170 people have told L.A. health officials they became ill following the conference.
