Named EVP Strategic Partnerships for The SSL Store — Michael Ward

Ward takes key role with SSL provider.

Michael Ward has joined The SSL Store as EVP of Strategic Partnerships. Ward previously worked with the firm in a consulting role.

As its name suggests, The SSL Store specializes in helping firms encrypt with SSL. It’s a timely subject given what browsers such as Chrome are doing for sites that don’t have SSL certificates.

Part of Ward’s role will be working with hosting firms, registrars and resellers to offer SSL certificates to their clients. He’s well positioned for that role given his long career in the hosting and domain space. Over the past two decades, he’s held positions with Verisign, Public Interest Registry, Parked.com, DirectNic and Uniregistry.

He will be at CloudFest in Germany next week.
