Mining firm states it’s acquiring Jade.com for $1.25 million

Domain name is right now owned by Future Media Architects.
A Canadian Jade mining firm states it has entered into an agreement to acquire the Jade.com domain name for USD $1.25 million.
CDN Jade Mine Resources Inc., a Canadian mining firm, stated it is raising CAD $1.8 million to help pay for the domain name. In a release, CEO Shao Long Li stated, “We are extremely pleased to announce our plans to acquire JADE.COM; this could significantly expand our client reach by developing a strong platform for the global trade of jade.”
The firm is focused on mining jade, a green ornamental stone.
CDN Jade Mine Resources stated it plans to close on the transaction as early as today. (Update: the transaction has closed.)
As of right now, the whois record for Jade.com still shows Future Media Architects as the owner. I reached out to Future Media Architects over the weekend to confirm the deal but have not heard back. I also reached out to the buyer this morning and will update this story when I hear back.
