Fresh domain name magazine ships first issue.

Modern Domainer, a fresh domain name magazine, will arrive in domainers’ mailboxes soon.

The cover story for the August issue of Modern Domainer is called “Untangling the Web of Domaining” and provides advice on avoiding newbie mistakes.

Other topics featured on the cover of this issue include:

2. Vulcan sues Google for $1M – this ought to be a fantastic article. I skimmed through the lawsuit and this is a big one, going following Google, iREIT, Dotster, and others. Some of the claims are rather flimsy, but others have teeth.

3. Domain tasting technologies

I will speak on a panel at Domain Roundtable with the editors of Modern Domainer this month.

Modern Domainer is the second print magazine targeted to the domain name industry, which is one of the signs of the industry’s growing importance. Domainer’s Magazine, the first entry into this market, started publishing earlier this year and is on its third issue.
