Generate $12 million revenue in 2017 — Radix to
Fresh TLD firm discloses some financial results.
Fresh top level domain name firm Radix disclosed today that it will generate $12 million or more in revenue in 2017. The firm has $11.7 million in revenue up until the end of November.
As stated by a release, more than 50% of the revenue is from non-premium domain renewals. That’s regarding double the amount of fresh registration revenue, so that’s over $3 million in fresh registration revenue.
$1.76 million of the revenue is from premium domain names. This includes one-time premiums from deals struck directly by Radix, but that accounts for just 14% of the premium revenue. Most of that is from selling casino.online.
The U.S. accounts for 50% of revenue.
Radix operates nine top level domain names: .online, .store, .tech, .website, .space, .press, .site, .host and .fun.
The firm spent a lot of money acquiring these domain names with .online estimated to have sold for over $10 million. Still, it also received payouts from losing auctions.
Radix is self-funded by Bhavin and Divyank Turakhia, billionaire brothers from India who founded Directi and Media.net.
