Registrars drop .us privacy protection this stretch

GoDaddy joined other registrars in dropping WhoIs privacy protection for .us domains this stretch, as required by the Department of Commerce. Privacy protection lets people register domains using a proxy so that personal information isn’t made available in the WhoIs directory. This does not affect private registrations on other domain extensions. GoDaddy chief Bob Parsons is steaming mad regarding this privacy issue. What do you think?
