Someone ought to tell Kanye that Donda is an Italian shoe firm
Kanye West launching Donda, but that domain is taken.
The web and Twitter have been on fire the past 48 hours regarding Kanye West’s plans for global business domination. He disclosed plans in stream-of-conscious tweets for his fresh firm, noting:
I am assembling a team of architects, graphic designers, directors musicians, producers, AnRs, writers, publicist, social media experts… app guys, managers, car designers, clothing designers, DJs, video game designers, publishers, tech guys, lawyers, bankers, nutritionist … doctors, scientist, teachers…DONDA will be comprised of over 22 divisions with a goal to make products and experiences that people want and can afford…

I have started a fresh firm and I’m so excited regarding the name…. it’s got the best name ever of all firms of all time!!!….

DONDA is a design firm which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas…
Donda is the first name of Kanye West’s mom, so it’s a cool name.
Except that if you go to Donda.com you’ll see that some sort of Italian shoe firm or retailer by now uses it. Apparently it’s been around since 1887.
So I hope his design firm doesn’t have plans to create cool shoes. Or it is willing to buy out a 123-year-old shoe firm.
Perhaps Kanye can just apply for the .donda top level domain. Following all, he’s going to have a lot of divisions he can stuff under that TLD.
